    Thanks for continuing to update

I love the player, the only issue I have is that it doesn’t seem to be able to play x264 codecs

I would also love to see x264 support but I think it may be beyond the Wii’s capabilities.

Thank you for continuing to support WiiMC, it really has been the best mediaplayer on Wii and the only one I use 🙂

Thanks for continuing the support for this great app!

    I have a request:
when i start the app from the channel in the wii menu, if i exit the app i go back to the wii menu, and i already selected the option ”back to loader” on the settings, can you fix this to go back to the homebrew channel instead? thanks

I also agree that WiiMC i the best mediaplayer on Wii, and I am very thankful for it. It would be great to see X264 and Youtube capabilities, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t great.

Thanks for the update, and keep up the good work.

    🙂

seems like the x264 problems are from VBR audio, from what I’ve noticed. They play, but audio is out of sync.

x264 works fine, the max I’ve got to play at good rates was 1080 x 468 which isn’t bad by any means, and if anyone has issues with audio sync, go into the settings and change the cache to 100% and play with the audio delay setting if it’s still not working, for the VBR codec I noticed you usually need to speed it up or slow it down by 2 seconds. Sadly youtube isn’t working, I looked at a dump log and noticed it trys loading html5 instead of the file formats? Is this changeable somewhere in the code for wiimc?

    @Yuni
Check the file’s bitrate, I noticed anything over 1200kb/s makes it look funny and lag, also the res for the video plays a huge factor anything over x 460 doesn’t like to play as mkv

we need to develop another os for the Wii wiimc freaks i know if we do that we have even more power to play are videos and no crashing and adding features power on its on a whole new os with dedication in the background one factor on performance is ios running different process that calls home are running that weak ass security so let start talking about it

H264 videos will mostly play fine if you encode them and optimize them for Wii if it’s 4.3 use 640*480 if it’s 16:9 use 640*360

I would rather sacrifice the picture viewer (which is not needed at all) to free up more memory and the h.264 videos might see an improvement, other than that the “auto-syncing-after-de-sync” that MPlayerCE uses might be a good idea to implement.

    WiiMC FR-1.3.4

System crashes when attempting to rewind/fast-forward, when paused, or sometime just random during movie playback. It happens on a bulk of movies in .avi .mkv and .mpeg formats.

You can view the crash log at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzdwPvR6dg6Qb2hJZnZ6Wnpjbms/edit?usp=sharing

Since the wiimc YouTube search proxy is down, I’ve written my own. I can’t host it for public use but I will provide the code, so you (the reasonably tech-savvy user) can host it for yourself. Click my name on the left of this comment to go to the repository and download the code. I’ve included (terse) instructions on its use.

Hi I love WiiMC I wonder if you can add a feature to be able to sort the video files by date , I need that option sort the video movies by date of creation on the disk .

Also If were possible to make a kind of db with metadata of the movies like the wii usb loaders show info about the movie files, I wont be extreme just is an idea if were a way to do that were awesome, thanks
