The update broke DVD playback for me. It now says DVD playback is not supported on this Wii when I try to play one.

I added a check of the DVD firmware version. I will have to make a test app for you to get your version so it can be added to the list.

It’s not a WiiMC problem – SHOUTcast has been having problems for awhile now – http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=333706

GREAT Application, my wii wouldn´t be the same without it, plus my wife now respects the choice over a Dvd player 😉
    thank you!

I’m having the DVD playback not supported issue as well; can you throw up a build somewhere with the firmware check disabled in the meantime since 1.2.0 or whatever the next release will be is probably quite a ways off?

Maybe, if you provide a sample of the file. Go read the Report a Bug page – http://www.wiimc.org/report-a-bug/

Thank you so much Tantric the youtube fix is a big relief. I had not used WiiMC for a while cause the youtube feature was broken, but now since it works, im going to start using it again. Thanks!

Were there any changes that would improve/fix MKV playback (H.264/MP3)? Files I made previously with the Handbrake ‘normal’ and ‘high quality’ profiles would freeze eventually on their own or get out of sync or freeze. They seem okay now with 1.1.9.

Sure, WiiMC was updated to the latest libav / mplayer versions. A lot of improvements happened over the last 3 months to those libs!
