Gotta say first, I love this project. This can play videos a lot better then my old Xbox using XBMC.
But I have been unable to play any MKVs yet. AVI’s play fine, but all the MKVs crash the player. I am loading them off a DVD (yes IOS 202 Installed Correctly). I have other MKVs to try, and I can post info from the video file but this is my only gripe with the player. I haven’t tried the audio yet, but I’m sure it works great too . Anyways, just asking for some information on this problem.
Keep up the great work guys 😀 .

See my sticky on what plays and doesn’t play http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=224, and the solution I use for automatically flagging HD problem videos so you don’t try and play them on the wii http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=571, and ximarx vlc-shares solution for streaming then from a pc after transcoding them to sd http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=224. Might solve your problem.

So just to clarify, is this file no playing because the wii can’t handle it? Here is the information my player has on it:
VIDEO
Dimensions: 720×400 (weird I know)
Codec: H264
Framerate: 24 FPS
Bitrate: N/AAudio
Codec: Vorbis
Channels: Stereo
Samplerate: 48,000 Hz
Bitrate: 128 kbpsIs this a high def video that the Wii cannot play? I’ll have to try some of my other MKVs then the VLC-Stream if nothing works. Most of my other vids don’t go up to 720 x *, so should they play???
Anyways thanks for your help so far.
