    Okay, well I did a lot of research about my issue. The drives/folders are networked and I have followed this as well along with Network security problemhttp://www.tomshardware.com/forum/75-63-windows-samba-issue, the folders are seeable from other computers and its share permission is full control with everyone. The Wiimc still says failed to connect…

    Nevermind, I fixed it by

    adding this to the registry or it was missing either one
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services NetBT
    Parameters] SMBDeviceEnabled = 1
