Hey, As Tantric has stated that this will be the last update for a while, and there are a few steps to get up to the latest install that people have to do, eg having ios 58 installed before updating channel, the business with the xml file, I think a list of hard drives that are working correctly with everything up to date would help those who are having problems to fault find.

So, Wiimc 1.0.9, Channel 1.4, with Ios 58 installed (using Tantric’s installer), HBC 1.0.8 installed with ios 58, loading through both the channel and HBC, and no Hard drive problems:

Western Digital Elements 1TB Desktop Hard Drive

I hope this will be useful to those having issues.

    Works:
Western Digital My Book Essential 1TB

    Problems:
    Eagle Tech Consus T-Series 2TB (USB 3.0)
    – this drive is not recognized by IOS58, but is by IOS202. I have been able to get WiiMC to see it by loading WiiXplorer in IOS202, exiting it, then loading WiiMC (seems to continue to use IOS202 for USB). This drive WILL work with Geekbox, MPlayer CE, WiiMC 1.6, and various other IOS202 apps.

i’ve used a 500gb WD passport and 320gb iomega select, both fat32, without any problems. however my ide 250gb wd connected via usb enclosure has not worked at all in 1.0.9, the last version I used was 1.0.6 and it was working.
