Gentlemen,
I have been using a old Xbox with XBMC to play my movies for many years, but after buying a Wii last month I am very inclined to change to WiiMC. I saw the program running on my friends house and I liked it a lot. However the only feature missing was a way to change the vertical position of the subtitles.
After browsing these forums for a while I found this:
http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=183&p=1347&hilit=position#p1347Pista says this function was implemented in SVN with revision 321.
So I ask – Is this feature already implemented in the latest build?
How does it work? By grabbing the subtitle with the pointer and moving it vertically in the screen? Thanks so much for your attention, guys!

It could be wonderful to be able to move the subtitles vertically down, outside of the movie screen area.
Anyway, thanks JHB50!

Not possible, because we use a texture for drawing, so if you have top/bottom borders is because screen resolution and we are not drawing in that area. We have to change the drawing logic and it’s a lot of work, usually the films use all screen.

Hello Rodries,
Well, not on a 480i SD TV screen.
On this screen I got the famous classic black borders on top and bottom…
Then, the subtitles stay all the time OVER the movie area.
While, in the Xbox Media Center, I can move them to the bottom of the screen, “cleaning” my movie image. But anyway, thanks for your info.
I will still be using WiiMC, I loved the program!
No problem about this…Best regards,
