    Hi there,
    From all my windows computers (WinXP, Vista and Windows7) I am able to reach the shares that my fileserver provides. From Wiimc I am not able to connect.. 🙁
    I am using:

    • Wiimc 1.1.4[/*:1c5yyjev]
    • ClearOs 5.2
      based on CentOS (RHEL) release 5.4 (Final)
      Samba 3.5.7
      [/*:1c5yyjev]

    Samba settings for the share:

    [video]
    path = /var/flexshare/shares/video
    comment = Flexshare - All Video files
    browseable = Yes
    read only = No
    guest ok = No
    directory mask = 775
    create mask = 664
    valid users = "%Ddries"
    veto files = /.flexshare*/
    smbclient -L 192.168.3.1 -U dries
    Enter dries's password:
    Domain=[XPRIVATEX] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.5.7-1.1.v5]

    Sharename Type Comment
    ----
    video Disk Flexshare - All Video files
    IPC$ IPC IPC Service (Fileserver Dries Dokter)
    dries Disk Home Directories
    Domain=[XPRIVATEX] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.5.7-1.1.v5]

    Server Comment

    FILESERVER Fileserver Dries Dokter
    PACKARD-BELL
    QUADCORE

    Workgroup Master

    XPRIVATEX FILESERVER

    I connect to this share as user: dries. But it does not seem to work. When I look at the network traffic with TCPdump I do see activity. So I am sure the network is up and running (furthermore network videos work fine).

    I have done some searching on this issue I (but almost every message contains samba or smb) Also I kind of remember there was something about the samba version Wiimc connects to but can’t find that information anywhere….

    Help would be welcome, would be such an awesome feature…
