Long story short, read that 1.0.8 fixed the whole ‘have to wait a min or so before hitting home/getting the playback menu up” so i DLd the update, and copied over the 1.0.6 files I had…went to load wiimc from HBC, screen went black and powered down my HDD, controller was unresponsive.
I then tried to just completely remove my wiimc from the apps folder on my SD and Downloaded the “new install” 1.0.8, added to apps, and had the same issue when loading from HBC(I see the load bar and once it hits 100% my screen goes black, my HDD is powered down and wiimote becomes unresponsive, must power down the wii with a hard reboot)
1.0.6 works just fine though as I just put it back on the SD and loaded it without a hitch.
What am I doing wrong?
(for reference im on the black Wii, with 4.2 menu, and the latest hack and updated cios’s from gbatemp forums)
