DVD and subtitle problem!

First of all, thanks for such awesome program!

I was trying to watch the DVD “Rio” on my Wii – using the latest WiiMC… but no matter what settings I use, I can’t see the subtitles – which renders on screen, but apparently just the shadows, or not on full intensity.

I see the fonts, but all dark red and I can see the movie behind the letters. Changing colors/size on the settings doesn’t help at all 🙁

I managed to take a picture with my cell phone (sorry for the bad quality!) to illustrate the problem:

Apparently, this isn’t a constant… tried others, and the subtitle was correct. Tried “Kung Pow” and this is the result:

The subtitle is visible, but also translucid – making it difficult to read sometimes.
(see how the letters to the right gets the same color as the guy’s clothes)

I even tried editing the colors in the xml file (to FFFFFFFF, no zeros thinking it was an alpha problem) but the problem persists.

I had a very old version of WiiMC before, and the subtitles used to work fine. I updated it from within the program, and then this problem showed up.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? My main reason to use WiiMC is to watch DVDs, specially since I don’t have a DVD player anymore 🙁
