Greetings,
I have three things for you. The first is about DVDs; the second is about Windows TV recordings, and the third is about donations, which I’ll go ahead and put in this post to consolidate topics that people post replies to.
1. I softmodded my Wii to homebrew channel .08 last night for the first time (I have never modded a video game console before), and installed WiiMC (the newest version, 1.9 I believe). It works great, mostly; however, DVDs play oddly. It seems to be running at a very low FPS. Is this a known issue, or is there something I can do to improve playback quality?
2. I set up USB 2.0 support without a problem, and tried playing a .dvr-ms file, recorded via a TV Tuner, on a flash drive (which is supported by WiiMC, I believe). However, the video browser did not see the file. Any ideas?
3. Some independent development projects offer certain “perks” for donations. I recently married and am accountable to my spouse for our finances; I don’t know that we can justify a straight donation at this point, as money is very tight. However, I could probably talk her into letting me contribute if we received some sort of tangible benefit, even if it were added support. Is there any sort of benefit like that for donors? No pressure, obviously. If not, hopefully I’ll be able to donate at some point, regardless.
Have a great day, and thanks for the help!
