Hey,
I’ve been using WiiMC for the last week or so and have noticed a recurring problem, but am having difficulties accurately reproducing it intentionally. I am streaming xvid encoded avi files over SMB from a Windows 7 laptop. Normally this works fine, sometimes for hours at a time, but every so often, and for no apparent reason, I get disconnected with the message:
Error: Error opening smb1:/If I hit Retry I get “Please Wait: Connecting to network share”, before “Error: Failed to connect to network share”
At this point I have to restart WiiMC and I can access the SMB share first time, no problem. Sometimes the problem reoccurs within minutes, sometimes hours, sometimes not at all.
I have checked the event viewer on the laptop and can’t find anything at the times of disconnects except for an event 4634 from “Microsoft Windows security auditing.” which is simply:
"This event is generated when a logon session is destroyed. It may be positively correlated with a logon event using the Logon ID value. Logon IDs are only unique between reboots on the same computer."I don’t think there’s anything going wrong at the laptop end and that this is just the normal event that is fired when a SMB connection is ended (I could be wrong).
I enabled debug logging in WiiMC in the hope that I’d get something there, but the logfile seems to contain only buffer contents, i.e.:
buffer1:
=================================
buffer2:Is there any way to make the logfile more verbose, or any other tests I could run to try and narrow down the cause of this? Or is it maybe something someone has seen before?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

How do you do that? I’m unaware of any WIIMC logging capability.
