.sub/.idx file not working

most of them are working but i got 1 that is not working,i had the same problem with geexbox wii in one of the first builds,later on it was fixed,it was the same file.

The subs do not appear for me either but I have no idea why.
Your other option is to convert them to .srt format.

same problem with one of the first versions of geexbox wii,afterwards it was fixed,maybe this will be fixed in the next version of wiimc or version after that.

You need to post this as a bug so it will get addressed. Use Development/Tracker Tab above. If you do I will post samples for testing from the files you uploaded.

Geexbox can do .idx & .sub ?? Well that’s cool. I always feared that the Wii would never be able to handle those since idx/sub are bitmap format. idx/sub can’t therefore be converted. Converting image to text is no simple task and there isn’t rly any app that does that well.

Ah I think that’s it. .sub/.idx probably isn’t supported since it’s bitmapped subs.
…Unless other bitmapped subs work for you? I really don’t know.

It’s real easy to do using the “Subrip” application. The original VOBsub 2.33 also had a Subresync utility that would do it.

flash2 indicated that it was working with other vids so perhaps he can post one that does work.
