Announcing WiiMC

Well, we’ve been trying to keep quiet that the successor to MPlayer CE, WiiMC, has been under development (for almost a year now!), but word has inevitably leaked out. I’m sure it will spread quickly from there, so now I break the long silence to confirm that, yes, you will see this released in the near future. In the meantime, I ask that you be patient and we will give you further details as we can.
Its going to be great. I can hardly wait for a release!

Thanks to all those involved for all the effort they have put into Mplayer and this new project. The media players you have created are the only reason my Wii isn’t gathering dust under the bed at the moment!

Only Extrems will be continuing MPlayer CE development.
Guys – I cannot thank you enough for your continued efforts in making a perfect media player for us XVID junkies and our obsession with watching Standard Def on our Wii’s, Thanks to you guys both my children can watch movies stored on my main PC , albeit with mplayer_ce and myself, AND THEM are looking forward to a ‘purrtier’ release , hopefully a nice all in one WANDERKIT !!
