    Hi

i just want to know if anyone has tought of creating a computer side program for the wiimc that will downscale anything that wiimc wants to access. we know that the wii is just not good enough to load videos over 480p because of the hardware but what if the PC with the files downscaledconverted the files on the go as wiimc is playing them??
the wii doesnt have the power but for most users the PC does.
it would be nice if i didnt have to convertdownscale the movies for the wii every time i want to watch it on my tv!!!

(ps. Does wiimc use the wiis graphics card when playing videos?? its just that i dont get how the wii can play 480p 3d games but not something thats slightly higher but in 2d!!! thx–just a question that has been bugging me for ages!!)

No that link is to my initial implementation of a VLC stream. VLC-Shares builds on that to provide full VLC support.
