I have noticed that DVD navigation using the pointer is hit-or-miss, so I think that using a more traditional setup with a cursor moved by the d-pad would be a great feature.

Yeh, I find it hit and miss as well. Seems to depend a lot of the DVD used. I like using the pointer myself if the DVD is supported well.

DVD navigation with the D-pad does work, however, the cursor does not appear, so it makes navigation very difficult, if not impossible with some of the more complex DVD menus. I would like to be able to see the cursor/highlight that appears like when playing the DVD through VLC. The current point-and-click implementation wouldn’t be so bad if the menu item was highlighted when hovered over, so even with the offset, you could still judge which menu item you were clicking.

I agree with you all. Although I have tested DVD’s and for some reason I couldn’t get past the menus (even the D-pad didn’t work).
