    Ok, for me and other (french people), the subtitles files don’t work …
    I want a explication because i don’t know do this …

    example:

    Video.avi and Video.srt (or ass/ssa and others) are in the same folder but when i watch video , the subtitles don’t appear… why ?

    Tantric says this isn’t a bug.

    Have you enabled the subtitles in the settings?
    After that, have you tried to press the UP button when watching the movie?

    Have you checked that the .srt files really are srt files?
    Try open them in Subtitle Workshop and see if they open, if they do, try save them and see if anything changes

    singed up for specific help with this, im a US user of wii mc and none of my videos with subs work.
    all of the videos are .avi with .srt sub files i can play them with vlc media player and the subs show up fine
    but they dont work with the wii mc, i have in the options subs on and whether i press up on the wiimote or not the subs dont show up no matter how long i wait. i also opened them up in sub workshop and saved them and they continue to not show up in the player, so what is the deal? also does the firmware matter? and what about cios would they affect how the player loads subs?

    I have the same problem :-/

    All types of subtitles tested (sub, srt, ssa) and non of them load up or show up 😐 😥

    wad version 1.0.4
    no subtitle appeared in both usb and dvd files
    same name, srt and .sub tested
    enabled, made it huge, press up and any possible combination of B+^, 1+^ and stuffs like that …. nothing
