    I’m working on a HULU standalone plugin for vlc-shares. The problem is that i need help now with testing.

    I create a package for it, now i need feedback from US users.

    Hulu is not available from my country, so i completed part of the plugin working through a US (unstable) proxy. If you want to help me to complete the development and the test of the plugin, download the package attached to this thread, install it (as usual), follow the instructions below and submit the results

    Only feedback from US users is required

    I prepared 2 simple tests to be done after installation of the plugin.

    Requirement for the tests:

    1. US user

    2. Real-debrid plugin MUST NOT BE INSTALLED

    3. Rtmpdump v2.4+:
      Windows: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RTMPDump
      Linux: sorry guys, you have to compile last git version. It requires 2 minutes

    4. VlcShares 0.5.4 with last version of PageParserLib installed (https://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/downloads/detail?name=plugin_pageparserlib_0.1alpha2.zip&can=2&q=) or VlcShares 0.5.5alpha1

    TEST 1:

    • Go in the VLCShares management dashboard (http://localhost/vlc-shares)

    • Click the button Start HULU Test 1

    • Copy and paste the result of the page inside a new post in this thread (example report in the second post)

    TEST 2:

    • Go to Hulu.com

    • Choose a video from hulu (a free one, not hulu plus)

    • Copy the url of the page

    • Add a new link inside inside vlc-share’s online library (http://localhost/vlc-shares/onlinelibrary/add)

    • Select “Hulu” as hoster

    • Paste the hulu page url in the “video id” field

    • Type a custom category

    • Check “Check the validity and fill details automatically:”

    • Click on “Save” button

    • Try to reproduce the video from your device as usual.

    • Go in the vlc-shares test page (http://localhost/vlc-shares/test)

    • Click on “Download system report”

    After you executed both tests, post the results. The post under this one is a template for the “perfect” report

    Without feedback, i’ll stop development of this plugin. (remember also that this plugin is useless from my point of view because I can’t use it. I’m working on it only because it will be a nice feature for us vlc-shares’s and wiimc’s users)

    the second test creates a huge txt file, but it did work on the wii, only tried 1 clip
    by the way i have the 0.5.5alpha ver. of VLC-shares

    So do you confirm stream works on the wii?

    I just tried another one on hulu, and it did work too, but sometimes when i close the video the wii freezes, (my wii sometimes does that but looks like more on hulu links), i didnt realy watch the whole thing but just to test it .
    (using WiiMc)

    i managed to clean the old log for a new one which is much smaller
    should be attached

    Hulu plugin updated to 0.1beta: now it can be used to browse hulu.com (plus) as a collection

    For not US users, real-debrid plugin with a premium account can be used to watch things from hulu plus too 🙂

    Thanks for the updated plugin. One question, I don’t see where to enter the Hulu plus login info for this plugin. Has this option been enabled?
