SMB and Easybox 802

Hi Guys,
i got a little Problem with my Setup over here. SMB Sharing from my PC
works great, and it’s also greatly working from my Android Smartphone 🙂
but i can’t get my Router, which has a SMB Server implented, sharing
my Files.
As stated above it’s a Vodafone Easybox 802 an it can Share a connected USB
Stick or Harddisk over SMB, FTP or HTTP. But i can’t get anything to work.

The SMB Settings always gives me an Error and the FTP Variant just shows me
empty directory.

Do someone have an Idea how to fix this, instead of buying a full featured NAS? 🙂

My suggestion would be to see if you can get into your router via ssh, if you can then check and make sure SMB is listening on 445. More times than not it is this that kicks people using samba.

Hi,

I also had an EasyBox 802, complete with the latest DLNA Firmware.
The SMB implementation of the box is broken, and the box has many other problems
(e.g WLAN connection breaks while streaming), too.
Before the last firmware update I could not even connect to the smb share from my Ubuntu box, just from Windows.
Just do yourself a favor and buy an other router.

Hallo, i have Problems with my connection between a USB-Drive on my EASYBOX which is set as SMB ans also as FTP in my Easybox-Settings.

Now i can see and handle the Files from my Android-Phone and my PC (Windows).
But if i wont to connect to my Wii it bring up a errormassage, that the Connection not can be make.
I have the same problems which in the first post.

Have someone the Easybox and a Connection from the USB-Drive to WIIMC take? Please help the other!!!

i take these Options:
EasyBOX as SMB:
Name: Musterman
Password: Musterkennwort
Foldername: Root
Folder:

Wii:
Displayname: Egal
IP: meine Interne IP-Adresse der Easybox
Folder: Root
Username: Musterman
Password: Musterkennwort

These not works. Which setting i must take that this run?

FTP Connetion have i connected, but in the “FTP-Folder” there is no file and no Folder shown.

Please Help me, if you hava a EASYBOX 802. THX

I have the problem that I released the data in a hard drive is not accessible via FTP.
This is a 803 EasyBox released featuring the very latest firmware (30.05.216).

Display in WIIMC shows Empty Folder. So he makes the connection but does not display data. Please fix if possible.
The Filezilla on PC Easily access the data to exactly the same settings.

The SMB settings always not conected.

Please Help!!!!
