I am having a problem accessing an smb network share with a relatively long password.
The password is 16 characters in length, and as you may know wiimc only lets you type in up to 14. I shortened the password to 8 characters and I was able to access the share fine. However, all of my other devices are set up to use the 16 character password and I prefer to use a long password whenever possible. Is this a bug or just a unforeseen limitation?
I tried editing the settings.xml file in the wiimc folder and manually changing the password string:
But this does not work. Is there any workaround for this? Or is it possible that the password length could be modified in a future update.
