    I have a lot of .m4a music files. It’s the format for the songs you buy off of itunes, so it is a very popular file. I suggest porting it for your media center program

    I’m guessing you’re just copying and pasting these files straight from itunes. That won’t work. Everything you buy from itunes is encrypted with DRM and cannot be played using anything but your personal itunes/ipod. You need to first decrypt files from itunes with something like Requiem.
