    Hi everyone

Firstly, I love WiiMC! I use it almost exclusively and have promoted my wii to our family media server. However, I am constantly checking to ensure videos I acquire can play correctly as I know full well the various limitations of the wii with certain codec, resolutions and other combinations. I too have HD video from my iPhone 4S and from my wife’s S3 which I would love to view without using phone to HDMI cables.

Anyway, long story short, I have been looking recently at the Western Digital Live TV and wondered if anyone here has experience with this machine, and would be kind enough to comment on its features and usability compared with WiiMC.

    Thanks

I have a WDTVLiveHub and it’s pretty good but using an old IR remote feels clumsy. If you’re looking for a diskless internet player I’m more convinced by Roku’s offerings. I opted for the WDTV for the drive and for local-network SMB/mkv support.
