Which file – downgrading

Hi

Running 1.0.9 and SMB is a bit unstable.

Want to try downgrading to say 1.0.7.

Should I download the “Update” file or the “New Install”???

Assuming the “Update” file to preserve settings, etc….Is this correct?

If your SMB is unstable, look at your network and WII channel interference from other wireless devices. Downgrading versions will not fix anything in fact 1.0.9 has network improvements over previous versions. On homebrew make sure the network icon in the lower right corner has stopped blinking before you start WIIMC, otherwise you may hang on network initialization. I have zero SMB stability problems.

Had a similar problem with 1.0.9, couldn’t get through a single movie without it glitching out at one point or another, downgrading to 1.0.7 solved this for me.

Personally I used the “update” file, worked fine.
