    …once the PS3 homebrew and jailbreaking scene has developed and matured from its current state? Or do you think PS3’s XMB is sufficient? By virtue of being on a more powerful platform XMB surely has more playback capability than anything done on the Wii, however I still prefer WiiMC’s interface to XMB. Also the current lack of USB NTFS support on the PS3 is annoying. I’d much rather be able to plug my external drive into the PS3 and play HD videos than stream off a DLNA server.

    Nope, WiiMC is staying on the Wii… the XMB does everything except for NTFS. Someone else may come out with a homebrew media player, but that’s unlikely due to Sony’s current stance on homebrew.

    Thanks for the info. As I said, wishful thinking. I quite dislike the XMB interface, especially after seeing the proposed changes to the WiiMC interface.
