I have no problem connecting to OLM with 1.1.4.
You might want to post specific links that do not work, but if none of them work then its something other than WIIMC that is the problem.cadbuscaParticipantI assume you also used http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1167#p5248 to correct the strings.h problem. I’ve added that link to compile guide.
cadbuscaParticipantFollow the guide then update the additional libraries per the referenced post amd the Development tab/ Compile Intructions. SVN909 then compiles without error.
cadbuscaParticipantSee this post: http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1129&view=unread#p5623
To Quote: “I’ve done some work to add RTSP/RTMP to WiiMC, but hit a roadblock because the network implementation of libogc is incomplete. Unless/until it is completed, you won’t see rtsp/rtmp/rtp support in WiiMC.”
cadbuscaParticipantThere are more bugs here but I need to do more analysis before I submit them.
cadbuscaParticipantNote: this board has changed the trailing quote marks in the following note to " so you need to change them back if using any of this data.
You wrote “after abit of research your links work on wiimc 1.1.4 if you use em like this http://stream.polskieradio.pl/program3 http://wms-trn-all.streaming.net.nz/trn-newstalk-zb-akl http://online.3radio.cl/paulalounge"
On both 1.1.2 and 1.1.4 as downloaded from WIIMC site all of these links gave “error loading file” messages just like the mms links do on 1.1.4. The mms links work however on 1.1.2.
So how did you load them in WIIMC? I used the following entries in onlinemedia.xml…what did you do to make them work?
<link name="polskieradio mms" addr="mms://stream.polskieradio.pl/program3" />
<link name="polskieradio http" addr="http://stream.polskieradio.pl/program3" />
<link name="paula mms" addr="mms://online.3radio.cl/paulalounge" />
<link name="paula http" addr="http://online.3radio.cl/paulalounge" />
<link name="nz mms" addr="mms://wms-trn-all.streaming.net.nz/trn-newstalk-zb-akl" />
<link name="nz http" addr="http://wms-trn-all.streaming.net.nz/trn-newstalk-zb-akl" />The BBC and mars links however both work fine on 1.1.2 AND 1.1.4 using these entries.
<link name="BBC mms" addr="mms://wm-live.bbc.net.uk/wms/bbc_ami/asiannet/asiannet_bb_live_int_ep1_sl0?BBC-UID=149cff2c8c3ffe117ccbb940815bbbae41d7d0ca6030e19f42599643f29d93ee&SSO2-UID=" />
<link name="Mars mms" addr="mms://mars.sharp-stream.com/desi?MSWMExt=.asf" />I’d like to resolve why this is and update my Guide to OnlineMedia to reflect the results. Thanks for your help on it.
cadbuscaParticipantWould you post a few of your mms links that do still work with 1.1.4 so I can test them.? I posted the links that no longer work for me in bug report 349. Perhaps you would test them too. http://www.wiimc.org/tracker/index.php?do=details&task_id=349
rtsp links are not supported by WIIMC.
cadbuscaParticipantI posted the mms streams that no longer work with 1.1.3 in the 349 bug report. http://www.wiimc.org/tracker/index.php?do=details&task_id=349
How about posting a few of your mms links that do still work with 1.1.4 either here or in the bug report so we can test them as well.cadbuscaParticipantmms playback stopped working with 1.1.3 and I have opened a bug report on that.
cadbuscaParticipantIt also works with WinAMP, but I can confirm that it does not work with any WIIMC version. Note that with 1.1.3 WIIMC mms playback seems to have broken, and I have reported this as a bug.

I guess you should ask whoever gave you those instructions. They certainly did not come from me. If you don’t want to follow the instructions I provided then don’t post your problems here.cadbuscaParticipantSearch for smb http://www.wiimc.org/?s=smb
cadbuscaParticipant1. Do a WII network connection test to make sure the WII has connectivity.
2. Wait until the network icon in the lower right corner of the homebrew menu stops blinking before loading WIIMC.cadbuscaParticipantMy understanding is that if you are behind a router then your PC has no security exposure from the outside world, hence if your internal network consists only of your system, the WII and other trusted family members then there is no exposure in using “Everyone”. Given that situation there would be no value in establishing userids and passwords and then having everyone on your network use them instead.
cadbuscaParticipantAttached is a “Guide to WIIMC+ Video Playback” which describes these use of these enhanced features.
