No don’t accept the update or you will revert to the standard WIIMC at the next version level. You can turn off the update check and nag by setting the WIIMC+ setting Global/Check Update to No.

Glad to hear of your success and confirmation of the adequacy of the guide for newbies! Enjoy WIIMC+, there’s more to come with Version 7!

The playlist guide is part of the enhancement pack.

Yup. Kind of like recycle so you can permanently delete them and remove them from the restore_points file periodically. Its in the next version after I complete the “browser rewrite” SVN changes.

Yes it wouls appear that youtube has changed something so that the WIIMC preprocessing of the YouTube link no longer works. I have opened a bug report #339.

Easy way is to rename them with a $. I’ve added this as an automatic enhancement pack prompt when videos have been > 95% played.

Against my better judgement, I responded to you continuing abuse, but no more. You apparently cannot read or cannot be bothered to. As it says the guide is correct up to SVN 762, but does not attempt to address the changes that the WIIMC developers require after that point. Others have documented the changes required after that point and I have referenced their posts which work up to SVN843. Game over.

    And that’s the reason why..

This guide will no longer address these additional steps since users of WIIMC+ receive the necessary compiled library additions directly as part of the WIIMC+ distribution.

Either is fine, but you did not do “4. Download and compile libext2fs-wii and libntfs-wii” “as documented in the official compile guide” because you have no ntfs.c and you are trying to compile the latest SVN when the instructions only cover up to SVN843 .

Random yes, Filter no. For filter you would need to build filtered playlists on the PC (My playlist guide references a tool to build playlists but it has no filtering support either. I don’t think Winamp does this either.). If you know of a filtering tool please post it here.

Note Effective from SVN762 additional libraries must be installed as documented in the official compile guide and this user post http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1042&start=10#p4611. This guide will no longer address these additional steps since users of WIIMC+ receive the necessary compiled library additions directly as part of the WIIMC+ distribution.

    Clear to me.

After you enter each command you will see the commands output followed by a prompt character ready for the next command. The compile command may output a lot before it ends. I don’t know what you mean by an >
You can copy the msys output by clicking the top left icon and choosing edit. Then mark the text and press enter and paste the copied text into your next message to show the problem lines.
