This really shouldn’t be useful. IOS58 should be the better choice, always.

Part of the reason for this is that we test on IOS58 and only IOS58, if you’re running on any other IOS, you’re taking your chances.

As far as USB compatibility, it makes more sense to iron out the wrinkles in using IOS58’s USB module as a solution there. However, generally speaking the compatibility should be higher with IOS58 than with any other IOS.

Actually I think this is supposed to work, and I tested this.

    A playlist contained at:

    sd:/Music/Playlists/test.m3u

and containing an entry of ..song.mp3

Should correctly assemble a path of: sd:/Music/song.mp3 and let you then play this file.

If it is not working this way, I will need a ZIP containing a sample folder, m3u and mp3 that has an example that fails.

Go into Settings > DVD and switch DVD Menu to Skip Main Title.

    Case Closed.

And in case it isn’t clear, even once you’ve installed the WiiMC Channel, you must still have the SD card inserted and have /apps/wiimc/boot.dol on it.

I didn’t say disable ISO over SMB. I said disable dvdnav over SMB. You will still have ISO over SMB via dvd AKA the “Skip to Main Title” option.

No, the channel doesn’t update itself. But if it’s working fine you don’t need to update it.

msgid “The current IOS has been altered (fake-signed). Functionality and/or stability may be adversely affected.”

That’s actually not a new string BTW.

Yes, dvd menu (“dvdnav”) over SMB is not supported. Turn it off in the settings if you want to play DVDs.

This is because dvdnav has its own cache and doesn’t use the mplayer cache, which is the one we’ve set up for use over SMB already.

I’ll be disabling dvdnav over smb in the next version.

    The second idea isn’t bad.

When you do an update, please base it off the latest SVN file. I’ve had to remove the IOS202 entry each time.

The file will always be here: http://wiimc.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/source/lang/sk.lang

    Not going to happen.

What’s actually happening is the opposite – not more being supported, but less. Right now WiiMC runs on whatever IOS is loaded – eg: IOS28, and doesn’t complain. This can lead to unpredictable results.

So now if some strange IOS is being used, it’ll show a warning to the user.

    What IOS is WiiMC using?

Do these files actually work in WiiMC? Have you tried them?

    Try turning off DVD menus.

Settings > DVD > Skip to Main Title

Playing DVDs with menus over the network (dvdnav:/) is not supported, only dvd streams (dvd:/).
