That’s configurable. Check the cache options. Of course there’s a reason for buffering – stability.

Yes, a bug. You didn’t add a trailing slash on the folder. I’ll have it do this for you in the future.

This is a GUI-based application, not meant to have command line arguments and such. Individual issues like subtitles will need to be addressed, but will be addressed in a user-friendly manner – NOT by requiring the user to make some mplayer.conf file with special parameters inserted. That just goes against the ideals of the project!

OK, here is my translation file

I don’t know if the next release of WiiMC is able to show the umlauts so I have repaced all of them.

THIS release can show them fine. It’s not the GUI that can’t show these characters, it’s an issue with subtitles and SMB. There’s full UTF-8 support in the GUI itself so menu translations will work fine.

No way. Never going to do this. Period.

Oh, sorry for that, I translated it to quickly because we have nice weather in germany and I wanted to enjoy the sun.
Now I have corrected the errors (there were some some umlauts wich I had to replace).
Now I hope everything is ok.
Is there any chance to show the umlauts correct in WiiMC? That would be nice.

They will show up fine, provided you provide me a file with them in it.

Also people, please stop posting your translations directly into the forum. Upload them into a file somewhere, encoded as UTF-8. This is quickly becoming a mess!

Fixed? That would imply something was broken! In this case, I purposefully chose to ignore ISO files. As I just know people will try to load them via SMB, find it slow, and complain. 🙄

Still not sure it’s a good idea to allow them!

I posted my translation on a copy paste service. I dind’t use the Romanian characters, because I wasn’t sure, if the coding supports it. If you want me to include the special characters, just tell me.

Please repaste somewhere with the special characters. If you can just upload the file itself (to mediafire for example) that’s preferable. Someone needs to cleanup these translation files, they’re not quite right.

    Something wrong with 1.0.1?

This was only an initial release. You’ll have to wait for all these little things to get done.

NTFS should work too. I’d just have to add the ISO extension to the allowed types for the next release.

Trying to stream something DVD-sized over SMB is just impractical. It can probably play ISO just fine over USB.

That extension just isn’t on the allowed list. The reason is when I tested ISO files due to the network speed it played like crap.

You are wrong, that is not part of the SMB spec. It’s part of the NETBIOS spec. And yes, it’s a huge amount of work for little gain. If we had 20 people working on this project I’d be all for it, but the reality is with only two programmers at this time, our time is better spent elsewhere.

No, the error is what it says – an issue with initializing the network adapter, not an issue with connecting to SMB. Sometimes this happens on the Wii, whether it’s on the Wii Shop channel or WiiMC.
