Switching subtitle and audio streams is broken in 1.1.1 due to an API change in MPlayer that I didn’t notice. See this issue:

Click on the WiiMC logo. It’ll say in the upper-right hand corner.

HBB is its own application and has nothing to do with WiiMC. It may incorrectly be telling you your version is out of date when it’s not.

jhb50 is right, probably on mplayer ce you have frame dropping enabled. try enabling it in WiiMC.

No idea. I do know there’s a bug I’ve fixed for the next version where WiiMC doesn’t support 6+ letter extensions. So try renaming the file to .mpg and see if it plays.

No it wouldn’t. There would be a button to open “full-screen” mode once you’re in the Music tab. The Music tab itself would remain as-is otherwise.

What I would like to see is a “full-screen” music mode. Then there could be a toolbar and the buttons would be mapped like it’s suggested here. In the background visualizations could be shown.

Why hasn’t this happened? Because someone needs to write working visualizations code. shareese started a port of libprojectm – see here – http://code.google.com/p/wiimc/source/browse/#svn/trunk/libs/libprojectM

But it was never finished. If someone ever does get visualizations working, I would happily add this capability.

WiiMC as a channel still requires that apps/wiimc be present on SD or USB. All the channel does is load the boot.dol from that folder.
