abcdParticipant
I’m having the identical problem. Did it manually, and using script. Same error message.
I run a minimal install of ubuntu 10.10, no gnome or kde. I’m gonna guess there is a package I need that you don’t have in your apt-get list.
abcdParticipantBack to report this is fixed in 1.0.4! I can once again load WiiMC w/o ahving to unplug my WBFS USB drive!
abcdParticipantChiming in on the reeaaaaallllllly slow audio in 1.0.3 for DVDs (tried The Blind Side tonight)
abcdParticipantabcdParticipantBack to report that 1.0.3 did not fix this, still reboots with a crash dump. If you want specific hex code I can take another picture, but having my WBFS formatted USB drive plugged in makes WiiMC unusuable.
–See above post and pic for reference
Again, not fixed in 1.0.3
abcdParticipantJust gave it a try, it did load up fine without the USB drive attached.
I hope you can find the problem, since without my USB hard drive, half of the things I do on my Wii are broken.
abcdParticipantSounds like the same problem I have, see my thread here:

is that the screen you get? (and sometimes nothing at all)
