A “KVCD” is nothing more than a “pimped” mpeg1/mpeg2 video file.
Wiimc will play them… i just checked the kvcd samples and they all played fine.

This “KVCD” file can have the following extensions: mpg, mpeg, m1v, m2v, vob, dat;… depending how you store it.
The filetype .bin/.cue suggests it is an image of a “KVCD” – DVD/VCD/SVCD
So either burn it or extract the files.

    @sporeguy,
you need to re-install HBC after you installed IOS58. (for HBC to recognize IOS58)

latest strings up to revision 815:

msgid "The current IOS is unsupported. Functionality and/or stability may be adversely affected."
    msgstr ""

    msgid "Screensaver Delay"
    msgstr ""

If your HBC runs on IOS61 you schould do the following:
    – run the IOS58 installer.
    – rerun the bootmii installer to install HBC for IOS58.
    – check if HBC is running on IOS58 (HBC=> Home Button on Wii-mote => Upper right hand corner).
    – rerun WiiMC Channel Installer.

Preloader 0.29 will not work with HBC 1.0.8.
There is a modded version called Priiloader that will work with the latest HBC.

But how do you select between audio tracks? The default audio track plays fine, but I’d like to select another one…

Either read the passage “Usage” of the wiibrew entry or read the Documentation here (Top Menu->Support->Documentation)

i tried the channel with the latest beta, and it worked great thanks. I also tried to remove and start wiimc through hbc. I got another DSI Exception http://imgup.co.nz/1051. I do not know if it is related to your changes in the beta

So you have a DSI Exception when you run wiimc hbc & removed, rigth?

    It’s strange
    Can you retry?
Do you have a usbgecko? (to debug)

Excactly, i get a DSI Exception if i start your latest wiimc-beta through bhc with removed and my Samsung HDD connected.
I retried and was able to reproduce it. If i unplug my Samsung i get no DSI Exception => therefore i think my HDD is causing the problems. Wiimc starts correct if i retry it a few times (no repeatable pattern noticeable).
Unfortunatly i do not own a usbgecko.
