USB Problems? Read This!

Did Test again for Seagate FreeAgent Go:

WD home 500G has usb/esata/firewire but connected by usb port.
current wiimc takes some time to see my hdd and sometimes it does work, sometimes it doesn’t.

Hello,

i have a “Western Digital Elements Portable 250GB”. The USB-Log says “USB Device Compatible!!!”. But my hdd is not detected by WiiMC. In all other Homebrew-Apps the hdd works well. My Homebrew Channel uses IOS58.

Can you help my please?

Die Platte läuft bei mir 1A mit ALLEN Homebrews – auch mit WiiMC, egal, welche Version. Ich hab die Platte immer dauerhaft an der Wii, das heisst, sie ist schon dran an, wenn ich die Wii anschalten. Probiere es vielleicht mal so? Habe die Platte als einzelne Partition mit FAT32 formatiert; vielleicht hilft Dir das.

Hallo. Ja aus dem Media Markt mit einem USB.
Ich hab die Platte auch dran, wenn ich die Wii einschalte. Hab auch nur eine einzelne FAT32-Partition drauf.
Bei anderen Homebrew-Apps kann ich ohne Probleme drauf zu greifen. Nur bei WiiMC nicht.
Trotzdem Danke. Hast noch ne andere Idee? 🙂

@Thomas: Hmm, also wenn es mit dieser BETA nicht klappt, wüsste ich spontan nichts mehr. Achte aber darauf, dass Du auch den HBC 1.0.8 verwendest, und check mal, ob in der meta.xml von WiiMC auch der no_ios_reload-Eintrag ist…

Ja, benutze HBC 1.0.8 mit IOS58.
no_ios_reload steht drin in der meta.

@Thomas: Die Platte steckt auf im unteren USB-Port (USB0)? Und starte mal WiiMC mit der Platte dran und schau mal, ob beim WiiMC-Start die LED hinten an der Platte flackert, bzw. ob die Platte auch nach 20-30 Sekunden nicht erkannt wird (einfach starten und mal warten). Obwohl: Bei mir funktioniert die Platte direkt sofort nach dem Start.

Ja die steckt am unteren. Hab aber auch schon den anderen Port probiert. Ja die LED flackert. Er scheint also drauf zu zu greifen. Aber angezeigt wird die leider nicht. Auch nicht, wenn ich länger warte.

Also dann bin ich ratlos… Bei mir läuft die Platte wie eine Eins, ohne auch nur ein Bisschen zu murren. Vll. hast Du in Deinem Modell aber auch einen anderen Steuercontroller verbaut – wäre ja möglich.
