This is not very helpful/clear. When you create an SMB, WIIMC automatically enters the first part of the ip and all you have to do is complete it. Seems to me that is the automatic part, and replacing it with a name to be resolved by DHCP is the manual option. Could you be more explicit about what you did and why you chose to override the ip with a name to be resolved? Thanks.
cadbuscaParticipantWhy not report it in the tracker as a bug. Some work has been done on ISO’s in the recent SVNs.
cadbuscaParticipantput sd card in pc
edit setting.xml with wordpad
find smb entrieschange numbers
save
put sd card back in wiicadbuscaParticipantSo hit the down arrow again.

cadbuscaParticipantLets work on this. Please see my pm.
cadbuscaParticipantThanks for the reply. I’ll study it further.
Just FYI, I see nothing in the WIIMC code (fileop.cpp/parseplxplaylist as attached) that would handle your snippet.
WIIMC is looking for attribute= ….=value pairs, where the valid attributes are “type”,”name”,”url”,”thumb”, and “processor” , The values for “type” are “video”,”audio”,”playlist”,”search” and folder, the value for url is the http address, the value for name is the displayname, and the value for thumb is the address of the thumbnail image as currently used by Navi, and WIIMC uses these values to build its internal playlist.I tried your search on HDStarcraft and the result is certainly scrambled. Using my “Sort Playlists” (by name) option though worked nicely to give it some order: eg:
HD Starcraft 2 Boxer v FruitDealer g1 p1/2
HD Starcraft 2 Boxer v FruitDealer g1 p2/2
HD Starcraft 2 Boxer v FruitDealer g2 p1/2
HD Starcraft 2 Boxer v FruitDealer g2 p2/2and my “Autoplay Next YouTube” option played thru this ordered list without interuption. Kinda cool.
Now if I could add the captions!Just saw your new post on “pagesof interest” so looks like you have a solution for now.
Edit: Perhaps I misunderstood your snippet..is that what wiimc.org gets back from a yt search and then it translates it and sends the correct attribute, value pairs to the WIIMC program?
cadbuscaParticipantPost the patch and any other files in a .zip but not the compiled .dol
cadbuscaParticipantMy setup is the same as yours except I share the whole partition on my external drive (H: and I:), not just the subdirectory. I seem to recall that for internal drives I could not share the whole internal drive and only the subdirectory sharing worked, and that for the external drives the whole drive sharing worked but not the subdirectories. So try sharing your whole external drive and not just the Movies subdirectory.
cadbuscaParticipantCould you explain more? WIIMC already has the user agent set in http.cpp so I don’t understand what you did differently, or what you sent to retreive that playlist, or where you sent the request(wiimc.org or youtube.com)?
I also don’t see anything in the playlist you have retreived by spoofing that will allow you to order by most recent upload. Are you suggesting that the playlist is in that order but the original WIIMC query response has altered that order? I already have an option to sort the query response by name rather than the order returned by WIIMC, and that could be extended.
I’d also like to understand how you will use the returned playlist within WIIMC to create your custom playlists?
Seems to be lots of potential here. Any thoughts on retreiving the captions/subtitles from youtube too? Thanks.
cadbuscaParticipantWhile there was no official SVN notice, it appears that effective with SVN649, WIIMC compiles require the installation of r22 of DevKitPro. See the official “Compile Instructions”. If you previously installed DevKitPro you need to run “devkitProUpdater-1.5.0.exe” The guide has been updated accordingly.

I have no problems playing my .avi via SMB. Also be sure there are no other 54mhz wireless devices nearby like wireless phones, baby monitors etc.
cadbuscaParticipantI believe that if you have a new WII (made in last 2? years) then it can not play DVD’s because Nintendo made a change that prevents it.
