Unfortunately a significant change was made after the release of libogc 1.8.4, which means that WiiMC cannot be compiled under that release or any prior.
rodriesKeymasterIf you have a newer-ish Wii (made sometime in the last 2 years…?) it can’t. Nintendo made a hardware change to prevent the Wii from playing anything but Wii discs.
rodriesKeymasterThat’s correct – on newer Wiis you can’t use DVDs (ie: DVD Video), only Wii discs. This has nothing to do with 4.3 – it’s an actual hardware change on the DVD driveboard.
rodriesKeymasterAlso, in 1.1.0 that lib is no longer required. It may be again some day, but not right now.
rodriesKeymasterWhy? It’s not required to compile WiiMC.
rodriesKeymasterCircaWii, perhaps you could post a new screenshot using the version posted here: http://www.wiimc.org/tracker/index.php?do=details&task_id=252
So I can see how it looks. I’ve moved all the elements inward.
rodriesKeymasterAs I’ve already stated, all I will do is shift some of the interface elements inwards into the “safe zone”
Case Closed.
rodriesKeymasterOk. For the next version I’ll just have to shift everything inward a little bit.
rodriesKeymasterThis is a forwarder channel, what are you talking about? We can’t/won’t release a self-contained channel – MPlayer needs a scratch area ie: SD/USB to operate.

Don’t hold your breath though – USB compatibility pretty much is what it is, and is dependent on the USB2 module in IOS58.
rodriesKeymasterYour TV must have a LOT of overscan. Can you take a picture? PAL50, PAL60 or NTSC? Wii set on 4:3 or 16:9? 4:3 TV or 16:9 TV?

rodriesKeymasterRe: the channel – did you try updating to the latest channel with the 1.5 installer?
October 5, 2010 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Problem about restarting when using Channel WiiMC 1.4 #27269rodriesKeymasterYou need to install IOS58
rodriesKeymasterOr convert them to a format that plays well. I recommend DivX.
