    Hi,
Here are the tests I ran.

Tried this on all my USB devices, none of them work at the moment, yet they all used to in the past. Especially the pen drive is giving me a headache as it seems to work whenever it pleases. Right now it doesn’t, but just a couple of days ago, with no changes to the filesystem or WiiMC, it did. The wakeup test failed on the DataStation, but I guess that’s because it just didn’t spin back up fast enough, as I could hear the device audibly getting ready only after the results had displayed onscreen.

Device: Filesystem: Test 1.12: WiiMC 1.12:
16GB SanDisk Cruzer FAT32 Compatible no recognition, works sporadically
1TB WD Elements NTFS Compatible recognized, DSI exception on access
400GB TrekStor DS maxi m.u NTFS Compatible recognized, DSI exception on access

Hi, here your USB Test (version 1.12) crashes seconds after starting the test.

It’s with a 2 GB usb stick from kingston:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 13fe:3100 Kingston Technology Company Inc. 2 GB USB stick

From the latest versions (1.1.1 I think) I can’t see anymore the list of movies from my USB drive (IOMEGA) where I have 2 patitions (FAT32 and NTFS). Some months ago, it worked correctly but now I just see ‘USB FAT 32″. Thus it seems that it does access to the drive but it doesn’t do much more. I have the HBC 1.0.8 and IOS 58, today I even installed the custom IOS rev 21 and ping my wii to be sure to have latest cios, but it doesn’t change anything.
I run the test on wiimc and here are the results. I hope that you can help me. Thanks beforehand for your support

I forgot to mention in my previous post that the I have the USB loader tool that works perfectly with my USB device. Thus my problem is more linked to wiimc installation.

Hi guys, my USB seems to have passed all the test but it only works every so often. Could this be a problem with my harddrive spinning down or going into sleep mode or something? Let me know if the log shows anyhting. Thanks.

Uhmm, your device must work with wiimc, please check partitions, and reformat it.

Your device can’t be initializated. It’s strange, I’ll make a special usb test for you, please email me

hi, have a Western Digital Elements 1TB. formatted on a Mac OSX to FAT32. Wiimc version 1.1.4

Movies start playing ok but after 5-20 min they stop and wiimc goes to startup screen with no usb detected. Wii freezes have to press power off on wii to start up again.

    Works fine on MPlayer CE.

Ran test crashed wii on bottom port. Top port worked, failed on one test.

I begin to think that we have a memory leak in usbstorage.c
I’ll try to create a wiimc version with debug info, so we save it to sd for debugging pourposes.

My wii is softmoded to 4.1E do you think this could be a cause of the problem – that is it not the most recent version.
though i dont have any problems playing any games on it.

    No
    have you installed ios58?
are you using channel or hbc?
    is hbc using ios58?
