Go inside plugin installer (http://localhost/vlc-shares/plugin), remove the plugin hulu and then reinstall it from the button in the list “Installable plugins list”

I’ll try to explain for the last time:

hulu plugin for vlc-shares read hulu+ contents list (http://www.hulu.com/plus/content) and show them inside vlc-shares. This doesn’t require any hulu+ account. You can browse it with the browser. To watch contents available only for hulu plus users, is required real-debrid plugin + real+debrid account. Without it, you can browse all hulu plus content, but you can watch ONLY contents that can be watched with a normal browser. Hulu plugin only make this available for the wii.

the hulu channel that can be downloaded from the wii shop has nothing to do with this.

Ah, you are right, I probably installed it during the initial configuration. But that doesn’t explain why I am getting hulu plus content. How can I get it to just show the free content? I have a hulu plus subscription, so I can already view hulu plus through the hulu channel on my Wii.

Right now there is no way. I’ll update the plugin for it

You installed hulu plugin when (in the installation process) you checked the hulu plugin box…

Then: hulu plugin fetch all contents from hulu plus pages (and i though hulu free and hulu plus contents was listed both, but i was wrong).

By the way: no payment is required.
Hulu plus account is unsupported from hulu plugin and this will not change until someone else will submit a patch for it. I can’t work for it, i’m not us resident and i don’t have an hulu plus account.
Real-debrid plugin (that allow to watch hulu plus content too, even for not-us residents) requires to be owner of a real-debrid account (so you have to pay for their services). I’m not affiliate in any way with those guys, vlc-shares has a real-debrid plugin because i got a real-debrid account in the past and i use it. All features of vlc-shares are available for free, source code is available too.
Donations or patches are the only ways to support the project and donators don’t get any special-hidden-feature-or-special-plugin for vlc-shares, only my thanks.

vlc-shares 0.5.5alpha2 is available for testing:

    *** 0.5.5 alpha 2 (21/02/2012) ***
    – compatibility with vlc 2.0 and 1.2-git
    – improved compatibility with ffmpeg
    – streamer code refractoring
    – improved integration with rtmpdump and sopcast
    – some changes in lvl1 api about stream wakeup and controls
    – threads lib in library
    – streamers lib in library (threads-based)
    – new transcode profile for tegra2 based android devices (h264/mp3 over rtsp)
    – upnp server soc (experimental, not tested)
    – fix in windows installer

    Windows installer: http://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/downloads/detail?name=vlc-shares_0.5.5alpha2_installer.exe&can=2&q=
    Ubuntu 11.10 deb installer: http://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/downloads/detail?name=vlc-shares_0.5.5alpha2-1_all.deb&can=2&q=
    Manual installation package: http://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/downloads/detail?name=vlc-shares_0.5.5alpha2.zip&can=2&q=

Features i’d like to get well tested are all about new profiles/devices compatibility and new vlc/rtmpdump/sopcast startup and management code.

check rtmpdump version (required 2.4+ for hulu), double check 🙂 that you set the correct rtmpgw.exe path in the configuration page (RTMPGW.exe, not rtmpdump.exe. it’s in the same folder). check if vlc path is correct too.

if you still has problem: enable the debug log (and set to lvl to ALL), then reproduce the problem and post here debug log file (you can download the system report from the vlc-shares’s test page)

No, you have to put the IP of the pc where vlc-shares is installed inside the onlinemedia.xml, not the gateway’s one.

How do I install VLCshares and it’s plugins on my wii? I can only find how to install it on mac. I don’t really understand it. I thought it would just go in my wii applications folder and it would be fine (like with wii mc and other apps). Where do I put the vlcshare 0.54 i downloaded? Where do I put the plugins for it?

    Thanks

vlc-shares must be installed in a PC (or mac), instruction here: https://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/wiki/Installation

Then, you have to edit the onlinemedia.xml file of wiimc (sd:/apps/wiimc/onlinemedia.xml) following this instructions: https://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/wiki/WiimcConfigurationEn

Just resolved optional audio/subtitles language order. Tested with varoius anime series, with dual audio and multiple subtitles (embedded and external files).

    Add this to vlc options:
    –audio-language=”ja,en,any” –sub-language=”ro,en” –sub-autodetect-fuzzy=3 –sub-autodetect-file

… fuzzy: 3 = subtitle file matching the movie name with additional chars
    like “movie.EN.srt”

… where languages will be added in 2 letters code; order to select is order in the above lists; “any” is for fallback to default stream if neither JA nor EN audio is present in stream (like movies with spanish audio)

    Nice solution
