Have you tried a Small fat partition.I had to format a 5gig fat partition for my apps running under hbc.Some apps didn’t seem to work with NTSF formatt,I only use NTSF for wiiflow,games,and movies.

As long as you have ios 58 installed and hbc is running on it then it has to be something wrong with the channel you installed.Did you use the channel installer in the downloads section.You also need the **no ios reload** line in the meta.xml file,but i think this only affects you loading wiimc from hbc.

We need a little more info,like your settings and such,for both.Have you tried without using a password,just username.This Depends on your settings in Xp when you shared the folder.
I don’t think you need a password in Xp, unless you locked the shared folder to your username,also the name of the shared folder has to be exact.
I remember moving from Xp to Win7,The setting were a little different.but i thought Xp was a little easier to set.you don’t have the homegroup to mess with and stuff.

Try looking up bannerbomb, letterbomb, etc. They may not work on the Wii U but they will work on the Wii

This is why i said game exploite,and can’t be stoped.If it reads these games it will always read these exploites and
should crash the system.
Sorry if you don’t understand my posts,but i’m trying to keep it simple.hbc is just a glorified channel/booter that
isn’t even needed.I don’t use it either.Older versions basicaly used bootmii to instal,or you could use a wad.upside down hbc is because tt don’t like darkcorps or piracy.I’m not sure what the method is now and i’m sure that few actually do.
Great job linkig to things around the net that others have alredy said.

This is in fact going nowhere,so you win,your bigger geek.
I haven’t gotten beat as a child so i’ll stick to answering questions.

For using the emulated nand function of Wiiflow and usbloader-gx.I believe Wiimc has it’s Channel title and cover image in the Title’s database and can be downloaded with the game covers,but Wiimc+ does not.

The topic was channels,I was trying to explain that the old channels that are forwarders,probaly won’t work with hbc under a new title and or ios.if you want to call patching an ios and/or installing it,an exploit then ok,but you still need a game type “exploit” to do so.

You don’t need “hbc” to run homebrew apps or code in general.They haven’t stopped me,Can’t stop me,and never will.
They blocked the Title hbc was using and is now under a different channel title.Most channels are forwarders to the hbc/apps

Dude, your taking something real easy and makeing it complex.For starters vlc-shares transcodes almost everything it streams out.Just look at all the transcoding profiles in the Dashboard.These are what needs tweaking,
Thats how wiimc and android phones are able to Playback the videos.wiimc already ineracts with vlc-shares completly,video playback is great.Also the two ports you should be listening and forwarding are :8081and:5554.This is also stated in the dashboards profile settings.

When you connect from wiimc it is just a http://server ip/vlc-shares that needs to be in the onlinemedia.xml.This connects you strait to vlc-shares collections and then on to any videos.No cut and paste are nessary.

When connecting to a stream by phone or VLCplayer it is always http://server ip and either port 8081 or 5554.
In a web browser take away the port and add /vlc-shares to the adress and you will get the Dashboard.

Sorry its been awhile since i had it going and i’ve done complete re-installs of windows on every PC in my house since then.I think,if i remember right it has a lot to do with the way your directories are when you run the setup part of either php or vlc-shares,Remember PHP IS portable.I think i recall installing php to another local drive,Not C: but like D: and vlc-shares to it also, or possablay another.I’t might of even been one with another o.s on it and i used an ip# some how to get to it.Sory it’s just been too long for me to be 100%,but i know i watched movies from the drive downstairs. vlc-shares seems to be fadeing away,almost all plugins are down.but it was good while she lasted.

If your able to browse the folder but not seeing any videos then you are probally trying to see file extensions not supported by vlc-shares.The ‘move on message’ means your inside the folder but not finding any supported video file types.only files that are supported show up.

I have a windows network drive connected with no problem.Depending on how your directorys are setup,you might have to use the ‘linux root directory’ or foward slashes.

I haven’t used vlc-shares for a while but i know rtmpdump_v2.5 and zend_v1.11.11 should help.
also if using vlc player 2.0 and up, you’ll need to use the latest beta version of shares.

I haven’t tried shares with vlc player 2.0.5 yet.

Hey ts, if Some of your links are bad.Best thing to do is download a new install of wiimc and swap out onlinemedia files.Then add your VLC link to it somewhere.Your VLC-shares link should look like below.Rule of thumb is if your link refers to playlist then type=”playlist” or if it is a search then type=”search”.Should be one or the other.All links except vlc-shares refer to wiimc and won’t effect vlc-shares.The older versions of vlc had public added to the end of the adress,like the first example.2nd example is for the later versions.
replace the &quot with “

addr=”http://xxx.xxx.x.x/vlc-shares/public" />

<link name="My Vlc-Shares" type="playlist" addr="http://192.168.1.4/vlc-shares" />
make sure php is listening for 192.168.1.14 or all 0.0.0.0
also whenever type=”search” This brings up the key board in wiimc for a query.

in reply to: SD card error (V1.3.0) #30580

This Could be several causes.
1st. Could be the lock tab on the sd card is moving to locked or half locked and blocking write attempts.

2nd. Could be just a bad card or a hard to write card,i’ve had a few sd cards do this for no reason.They would also write slower when installing files from my PC.

3rd. If this is happening after you are changing the settings.xml manualy then you might be entering bad syntax into the file itself.eg. Bad Characters. The .xml file is very close to .html, only a lot more Picky.Sometimes 1 mistype will break the whole file.Some Characters are not allowed at all.
