Their is an option under settings to skip the menu that might help you.
I think on some DVD menus the gui is off a little and you have to click under, above, or next to the actual menu icon.
Others, i think the trigger box is smaller than normal and takes time to find the right spot to click. These issues may bleed into your game play, not sure. i have never tried what you doing.
    Anyways…

Hope this helps and good luck.

+1 for using audio icon inside wiimc or make sure your files have proper extensions. The homgroup or wmp sharing uses a totaly different password and share names.

Maybe you have moved the files or renamed the share.I think watched files are logged by the full file path and name to the “restore points” file found inside your “apps/wiimc” folder.Wiimc creates a new restore points file anytime it is corrupt or not found.
You could try a fresh install or force Wiimc to make a new restore points file. Then see if your movies are being logged.

I have no idea about your videos stopping unless maybe your server is going to sleep or a bad wifi connection.

I have seen some links for Linux and NAS in the fourms.Try searching for Nas or Linux.I think it has to do with your settings file for the NAS or the smb/net bios type your running on it. I think a few users have got this to work with some tweeking. I’ll try to find the links when I get a chance.

This link explains how to setup a SMB share for Win-7.You can skip steps #2. and #3. if you want,it will still work.If your WD-Mybook is a DNLA device it will not connect.SMB or Samba will only work with Windows shared folders.
Some steps will be different if your using Windows Homegroup to share.

If Navi-x is your only problem then you might want to start by checking in the Navi-x fourms.

    http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=9

You will find many problems with the Navi-x portal.A user by the name of FDM has made an attempt to fix this.Although I have not tried his project out myself,I have read his post and if his stuff does as he has stated,Then this would be the best thing happen for Navi-x users. When I get some free time I will be trying it out myself.

Just a thought, but if you are unable to share to the whole drive couldn’t you just create a root folder and name it something like media_root and share it instead. Then just put all of your media inside it.You could try a couple files first, before you move your entire library.

I Think the main thing that happens is you lose ABPROT mode, Witch is needed for dvd access.
you also need a line in our meta.xml for no ios reload.

It could be your charger affecting your usb detection.I don’t have 1 to test this, though.Eairler versions could only read one slot, the bottom slot.Mine reads both slots in wiimc now,but it could have to do with the type of usb i’m using.I have 1 that works and 1 that does not.I also know wiimc has to be running under ios58 for dvd access,i’m not sure about usb.You should get a popup if your not running under ios58.Also make sure your using the original meta.xml file that came with the wiimc download,it contains a line that is needed during loading of wiimc.

If you have folders on your sd,they should show up.The only files that will show, are file types that are used by the mode you are in. like .png .jpg for image mode and .mp3 .wav for the headphones or music mode.

Youtube’s been down for a week or better and these are the only 2 post i’ve seen so far.I guess everyone’s using the New Youtube Channel from wii shop.I think the channel Sucks.I’d much more like to be using the wiimc instead. You can only connect to 1 youtube account per wii,Then reconfigure it all when you log off,or switch accounts. It does work though,i’ll give them that.It must be based towards the wiiu. Also,I really wish youtube would quit changing crap every few weeks.I refuse to visit the site through a browser anymore, with all the adds and constant changing.
    Sorry for the rant….

OH,,Where’s Jhb50 when you need him.

You can check for ios58 by pressing the home button While inside hbc,it will appear in the upper right of your screen.also make sure you are using the usb socket closest to the edge of the wii.Does anything else read the drive,or just not wiimc? Do you see any of the clickable icons for USB,or SD inside wiimc when it starts up,or not??
