From What i understand Ninty blocked the title for Hbc.So even if you got it put on,The channel might need to be modded for Hbc’s new title.

The reason i understand many links do not work is because Wiimc’s programing doesn’t allow web address redirects.
AKA, Any address that points to a processor on the navi-x site. Also Navi-x is supose to filter these sites out and is why only sites with “wiilist” in the address are going to work.
    ***addr=”http://www.navixtreme.com/wiilist/ *** .

Sites that have anything else in the address are using a processor and meant for xbox or another platform.
    ***addr=”http://www.navixtreme.com/sitelist/82346/ ***.
Navi-x is supose to filter these other sites out completley and not even show up on the wii.

When the user makes up his playlist and includes any site that doesn’t point to the actual video file name and extenson he or she has to use what Navi-x calls a processor.Anything “.com” or similar added to a Navi playlist needs a processor and the wii can’t play.Anything .mpg,.mp4.avi, is an actual video file and No processor is needed.Navi-x Playlist containing these links will work in wiimc. They can also be added directly to wimc’s online.xml file and will play without the use of Navi-x at all.Maybe this will help your efforts for filtering the links.

I do also hope someone can fix this someday.Navi-x would be great if we could view the media coming from it.Even if its a script we had to host loacaly on our own Server.

You need a full debug report as I stated above, not the test report. You should be able to enable a full, per thread debug in the advanced options. After that try and acess your collections,Then check the debug for the triggers that worked and the ones that did not.Like you stated above its probally a ver.12.10 issue.I’m guessing security or something. This is why I would just run v12.04 inside virtual-box and just use it as a Server. You should be fine so long you have enough power to run shares and a vlc/rtmp stream.

Have you tried to lastest beta Yet? The one closer to the ver of ubuntu your running?

Unless the developer stops in to shed some light or you can produce a log,I think were both blind guessing.
Good luck and post any results.
p.s. not sure if apache error logs would show anything or not,but you might check it also.

ffmpeg, rtmpdump, and Vlc are used for streaming and shouldn’t affect your acess to your collections.A debug log should show you if these where the problem or not.My guess would be your zend version,i’m not sure if php5-sql lite
plays a roll or not.Personally i would try the newest beta,it should have the latest depents added. The only other option i can think of is installing a virtual-box and an O.S you know is compatibale.
You might try creating the debug-log.txt then pointing vlc-shares to that and see if you get anything.

Sounds like you may have found the problem. Also you say you changed the ip to Myip. This is how i setup mine also, but if it is changed then you need to type “Myip/vlc-shares” into our browser instead of localhost.
Also halfway down your apache config file, line 249.You need to make sure “AllowOverride” is set to “all” and the mod rewrite module is uncomented ,top of file.Probally easiest way is to compair config files.

Could be a broken install also, you might try again. If still no go,then it must just not be compatabile.
    **edit**
Instead of using “Myip” you might try binding Apache to your actual localhost ip number.ip: 192.168.1.xx or ‘All’ ip: 0.0.0.0. Binding to localhost has never worked right for me and locks Apache to only accept request from the server.

Hi,I haven’t setup the ubuntu yet,but i can try to help if u want.Start by reading here. http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1770

If you still have problems then we will need to know what install process you used, and your apache settings.A debug log would also be helpful and maybe manditory to find the problem.

p.s. I think i remember i had the same issue when i installed vlc-shares outside the docroot.if this is the case you have to change the section in apache’s .confg file.Change the Directory to where you put vlc-shares folder.

    # VLCSHARES MODULE
    Alias /vlc-shares “${path}/vlc-shares/public”

    Options FollowSymLinks Indexes
    AllowOverride All
    Order allow,deny
    allow from all

I like it,looks good in hb.Seems like it sets back a little far.I think it would look cool if the Eq bars were in front or behind the WIIMC letters a little bit.give it some depth.

I had a problem with this once,It turned out being the tab that locks the card from being overwritten was getiing pushed half way On/Off as i put the card in the slot. This caused a random write failure util i seen the tab was half way in-between On/Off one day.I Fixed it by glueing it to off. Also i have had problems with the brand of card. Some cards seem to just have problems, usualy you can tell by the slow speed while writing to them with a pc.You might try another card and see if it helps.Or by putting the settings folder on your usb.

IT probally depends on how you are sharing it.Are you sharing the drive as a whole or just certian folders inside, try both.I have found sometimes its better to NOT use the homegroup and to use the advanced sharing under properties. This way you can name the Share whatever you want to..

Every few days i keep geting “.php debug code ” on the top of my web broswer whenever i enter the fourms. It’s not happening today, but has the last few weeks.Usually its about 4-5 lines of code at the very top of the pages as soon as I enter the fourms area. The problem today is long loading time of Wiimc.org pages and some fourm links take me to the Server error page. Also had problems logging on,when i clicked Logon button, but nothing happened.I had to refresh the page a few times..

Have you installed the plugin’s through the dashboard as per instructions.Type in your servers web browser Either “localhost/vlc-shares” or “server-ip/vlc-shares” and install your wanted plugins.Need to know what version of vlc-shares,zend,rtmpdump,ffmpeg,vlc you are using.P.C os would be nice also.

It has to be a change in youtube’s site. Both Wiimc and Wiimc+ will browse youtube showing links and thumbnails, but will not play any video feeds.Vlc-shares youtube plugin does the same thing,it stopped playing the same time Wiimc started acting up.So I suspect youtube has changed someting.

The Dvd option you are probally thinking of is data dvd,and only shows up when you have a data dvd in the slot.Same with the usb mass storage option, only shows when usb device is plugged in.Do you still have the
line in your meta.xml file. This line has to be in the meta.xml file to put you in ABPROT mode. You won’t have dvd access without it.It may also affect your usb device, but i’m not certian.
If other apps can read your usb,but wiimc can not,I would try a fresh install of all wiimc files.

I don’t understand your problem. The internal DvD drive is not in the list, you start the internal drive by clicking the dvd icon on the top.
Remember that wiimc always starts where you left off.So when you click videos you may have to back out to the root,to be able to see your USB Mass Storage device.
