Now I understand. I thought VLC could open an RTMP stream but it cannot. It opens RTSP. That’s why RTMPDUMP is needed to read and feed the stream to VLC for transcoding. Thanks.
cadbuscaParticipantIs this a vlc bug or a windows restriction?
April 13, 2011 at 8:20 pm in reply to: Watch Megavideo,HD,Youtube w/ CC through WiiMC (VLCShares) #26444cadbuscaParticipantActually both links work fine on wiimc, but on my PC the wiki vlc-shares/public/ link switches to vlc-shares/public/manage and brings up the system management window, whereas my vlc-shares/public/browse/ link always brings up the library menu. Note that this forum changes the traing quote in any links to " so you need to change it back if copying a link.

My VLC-Shares link entry is

“This pack will be distributed to those who have PM’d their email address to jhb50”
Isn’t this clear enough?
It should be obvious to these users that I cannot send them the pack without knowing where to send it.

huzreocadbuscaParticipantThat’s only one of a multitude of YouTube enhancements that I am currently finalizing. I spend hours watching sequences of YouTube videos with my autoplay next YouTube enhancement but the simple search/category facility is inadequate for searching out some of the great content on YouTube. That requires improved YouTube API scripts and the hooks in WIIMC to integrate them for searching playlists and channels as well as uploaded videos.
cadbuscaParticipantI see the masters has an rtmp feed and an http feed. The http feed should play directly in WIIMC via onlinemedia.xml. I assume you are streaming the rtmp feed via VLC-Shares. Is that correct?
cadbuscaParticipantwoompa: How are you getting the golf?
ximarx: Will you be including Crackle support in the new add-on. I’ll be happy to be one of your beta’s. its time i upgraded VLC-Shares.
cadbuscaParticipantJust add the url to onlinemedia.xml and the wii will play it if it is a supported protocol.
cadbuscaParticipantSuper guide! Can this be made a sticky?
cadbuscaParticipantThat is real easy for you to do. Just add the translated pairs you want to add to the de.lang file. C:WIIMCsourcelangde.lang I’ve added some test ones to the end of the attached one. (Be sure to hit enter at the end of the last line or it will not be recognized!) Then recompile and they are there. If you send me your updated de.lang file ([email protected]) I’ll be happy to include it in the distribution for everyone.
cadbuscaParticipantI’d like to see this file as well. My experience is that these oversize videos can play but at half speed or slower but the audio stays at full speed so is out of sync.
April 4, 2011 at 6:27 pm in reply to: WIIMC+ Enhancement Pack Version 8 for WIIMC 1.1.5 @ SVN919 #24409cadbuscaParticipantThe YouTube&ShoutcastScripts3.zip file included with the Enhancement Pack V8 provides an alternate way using your own server to access the YouTube and Shoutcast links provided by the WIIMC.ORG server. It also provides links for accessing YouTube playlists and User uploads which wiimc.org does not provide, as well as documentation and examples on how you can customize those links to quickly access your favorite combinations. The included onlinemedia.xml file includes these new alternate links but it also includes the original wiimc.org links under “WIIMC.ORG links” so you may use either set of links or customize your own onlinemedia.xml file.
cadbuscaParticipantIf you would read the WIIMC+ documentation the answer would be obvious.
