You can turn off dvdnav in the settings. Then it will start the main title of the DVD. There’s no option to let you play other titles on the DVD.
rodriesKeymasterNah. You’re just running into the hardware limitations of the Wii – it doesn’t have the power to decode the 720p stuff you throw at it.
rodriesKeymasterJense, could you redownload http://www.wiimc.org/files/wiimc-beta.zip and let me know if you still get the code dump / black screen issue without a network connection?
rodriesKeymasterOk. Then 1.0.9 was just a bad build. Not the code itself, the build is faulty. I’ll leave this build of 1.0.9 up in case anyone else wants to try it.
rodriesKeymasterDoes this beta fix that?

rodriesKeymasterI set it on the lowest quality for now. I’ll consider increasing it later on, or making it configurable.
rodriesKeymasterFor record-keeping, I’m going to post the lines that dump relates to:

August 19, 2010 at 2:36 pm in reply to: WD Elements 250GB and WiiMC 1.09 ->Does not work Edit: WORKS #26864rodriesKeymasterThis isn’t the fault of WiiMC – the new USB2 module in IOS58 might not support all drives. I can’t promise you this will improve, and if it does, it won’t be done by the WiiMC team as this code is not a part of WiiMC.
rodriesKeymasterStop double-posting.
And no, this will never ever happen. Reason? Because then we’d have to support two different setups, meaning double the work and double the headache.
August 19, 2010 at 2:32 pm in reply to: New Channel installer says: "Unable to attain NAND access" #26846rodriesKeymaster? Just delete the installer after you’re done, you don’t need to keep it around.
No I can’t integrate that – it’s a function of HBC, not my app.
rodriesKeymasterYes, I would strongly recommend updating the channel. Typically channels don’t change, but in this case there’s a major shift from IOS202 to IOS58 happening.
The older channel starts on IOS37, reloads 202, then loads WiiMC. WiiMC reloads to 58.
The newer channel starts on IOS58, then loads WiiMC.37 > 202 > 58 is messy business and something could go wrong.
Install IOS58 first, then update HBC so it uses IOS58, then install the channel. You should only have to do all this once.

August 18, 2010 at 10:41 pm in reply to: New Channel installer says: "Unable to attain NAND access" #26850rodriesKeymasterThis installer doesn’t need an IOS with NAND access. What it needs is to be run from HBC 1.0.8, with in the meta.xml.
If you’re not doing that, or you do not have a sane IOS58 (eg: from a fail-updater), the channel installer will fail.
rodriesKeymasterThat is not the way WiiMC works. When you remove the disc it’s unmounted.
