i feel like a moron, when i did the update for 1.0.5 i allowed the automatic update from within WiiMC, and I downloaded the WiiMC Channel Installer 1.2.

I was having issues with using USB….

I JUST realized that I never installed IOS 202 Installer 1.1!!! Once I installed that, I can use my USB again while using v1.0.5. I hope this helps, I am willing to bet people never downloaded the IOS installer, just the channel installer.

doubt it, the script’s source is calling for rtmp://66.70.119.243 as the audio source

I don’t know what a rtmp stream is, this is the 1st time I have seen that called

its actually what I was thinking as well, I think wiimc is getting data, but at some point it turns south and doesn’t know what to do with the mismatch.

the idea is to fill the buffer while its playing not while its paused. We wanna play straight through, surely it will “fill the pool” while you are playing it in real time. I am sure it can download at a faster rate that which the video plays at.

It can be related with IOS, but I have installed 202 IOS, and MPlayer-CE 0.76 works fine and without any hangs, and all the other versions of MPlayer-CE (including 0.77) and all the versions of WiiMC freeze, hangs or core dump with Wifi and SMB. So, also there must be an issue with WiiMC.

I can try to perform some tests with IOS, ¿Do you think it will help with this issue, or it will be a waste of time?

It’s very frustrating because it’s imposible for me using WiiMC to see a complete film, and this player it’s simply amazing. I hope this issue can be solved in the future.

noted… its already on the bugs list

i have too noticed that streaming sucks on the wii, its not fluid as in a simple stream, rather it takes bites out of the file at a time.

sort of like BITE PAUSE BITE PAUSE BITE PAUSE

at least thats how the graph looks on my LAN when i stream a movie to my wii.

this is a new one on me, considering it plays the video but the audio is not quite the proper track. almost like its playing an alternate track.

does it only do this on dvd’s and not on say xvid videos? also are menu’s enabled or disabled?

lets get details of the dvd…

first off is it a pressed retail dvd that you bought? if so what is it and what region is it?

if its one you made.. it will be much harder to troubleshoot.

i have noticed issues using simple hubs, I have a small usb hub i got to use with my rock band kit and it won’t let me use usb drives through it. I suppose the address changes slightly and is no longer port 0. I believe the new release will allow you to use port 1 as well, but for now port 0, the port closest to the left side when standing up, is the only port it recognizes.

assuming usb is in port 0 and not port 1, make sure the connections are good and try again? not really sure otherwise.
