I’m watching an MMS stream right now.
zany130ParticipantWiiMC+ is not required, but it has some optimization for VLCShares
zany130ParticipantASX playlists and MMS streaming work for me (WiiMC 1.1.3).
MMS support was added in version 1.0.5.
RTSP streaming is not available.February 24, 2011 at 10:08 am in reply to: Watch Megavideo,HD,Youtube w/ CC through WiiMC (VLCShares) #26436zany130ParticipantFor questions about 0.5.3 release use this thread: http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1181

February 23, 2011 at 1:29 pm in reply to: Watch Megavideo,HD,Youtube w/ CC through WiiMC (VLCShares) #26431zany130ParticipantNow that you have the debug log enabled, you have to try again to spawn vlc and then attach here the debug log. The one you have just attached it’s a bit useless.

Create and attach here a full debug log (from configs page: enable debug and set debug level to ALL). Then:
1) Manually open VLC
2) Open a dos console
3) type inside the dos console:tasklist /FO CSV /FI "imagename eq vlc.exe"
4) Copy the output and paste it here
zany130ParticipantMaybe this?

zany130ParticipantIn the Windows installer of VlcShares i’ve removed mysql because it’s useless for vlc-shares. So, when you start the vlc-shares’s easyphp version you get an Mysql error but it’s fine. If you want to use vlc-shares in a Easyphp installation with Mysql you have to install a normal build of EasyPhp and then to manually install vlc-shares following the “Manual installation tutorial” in the wiki (https://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/wiki/InstallationWindows#Manual_Installation)
zany130ParticipantOk. Remember to update to the last version.
zany130ParticipantYes. The idea was that vlc get the video stream and reencode it on the fly in a wiimc compatible way and stream it through http stream. Obviously the transcoding process is an heavy task to be done, so a good pc is required for 720p/1080p transcoding.
Anyway, i haven’t a donate button…
